I have used the Armstrong stain for a few years now and I love how it performs. It has been three years since my last application at it just now wearing. It also applies very easy compared to the Home Depot stuff.

In researching what to stain my Ipe with, somewhere there was a comment about how fast the product was delivered and how great the 5 gallon can was protected. I never write to these things, but my 5 gallons of Messmer's Hardwood came within a couple of days - great - by UPS. No packaging at all just the can. Only thing was it looked like it had been to Iraq along the way. The thing was so dented it was amazing it hadn't burst open along the way. It was unreal. I took a couple of digital pictures for posterity.

It didn't leak although it's hard to determine how to get it open and start using it without it leaking out. It's fine, I really don't care, and am looking forward to how it looks.

I only comment because my case was so far off from the other person's experience. It was more banged around than anything I have ever received. I'm pretty old and I've received a lot of stuff.

I'm sorry to hear that your delivery was handled so bad. We recently changed to a delivery system that allows us to ship 5 Gallon Pails without a box. We pay an extra "special handling" charge to ensure that it arrives in the condition that it leaves our warehouse. They are supposed to hand carry and not use the conveyor belts. Obviously this did not happen. If you would like we can make a claim and reship a new pail.
