Paver Sealing Questions 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm looking for a product to seal my 5 year old paver patio and give it a good wet look (it's faded now). Questions:
- Unsure about high gloss vs semi gloss...anything you can tell me to help?
- Is it slippery once applied?
- If its rolled on, wont the sand between the pavers come up onto the roller and and negatively affect the coating of sealer.

Thanks for the help.

The SuperSeal25 and the SuperSeal30 are typically what customers purchase for paver sealing. The shine level is dependent on the porosity of the pavers. The SuperSeal has about 30% more acrylic then the SuperSeal25 which means it will be about 30% shinier.

It is not typically slippery once applied. It could be if multiple coats where applied.

Yes, newly swept sand can come out if the sealer is rolled on. You need to be very careful of this or you could use a Heavy Duty Metal Sprayer.

want to protect new pavers-thought would use 2 coats of penetrating sealer and then apply a gloss finish on top. can this be done, will the gloss make the driveway slippery especially when wet. thanks

This would not be a good idea. Adding a concrete water repellent first would not allow the paver sealer to penetrate properly. This could also cause the paver sealer to be slippery.

I have 1000 sq ft of "san Diego buff" broom finish around my pool. I love the wet color, but do not want a slippery surface. What is the best product for matte finish that will deepen the color?

If you are looking for a Matte Paver Sealer, then I would suggest the Super Seal Matte.

Do brick pavers need hard solution to clean? But what to do if the brick pavers are stained heavily? Even after a period of installation we find that the pavers are covered by dust, grime and dirt.

Typically all you need to clean pavers is a pressure washer. This will remove the dirt, grime, and weeds. The only time you would need a cleaner is if you have a stain or mineral deposits that you would like to remove. Make sure to pick a cleaner that is specific to the stain or mineral deposit that you are removing.

Examples:

Paver Cleaner Degreaser

Efflorescence Remover
