wet-look sealers for pavers 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
I have a 20 year old patio of brick pavers. They're all in good condition. I have tried several wet-look products over the years, but none seem to last very long. Yesterday I used an acrylic product made by Jasco. After 3 coats I have almost nothing to show for my efforts. Almost no shine. Can anyone suggest a product I can apply over this acrylic? Oil based or Latex? Thanks

The problem may be the amount of coatings you have built up through the years. Sometimes they will turn white in color. Any chance you can take a picture and upload it? Was the Jasco water based?

The Jasco was water-based. I could take a picture, but the pavers look ok, they just don't have the dark color or shine I have had using other products. I spent many hours relaying and leveling the pavers: I guess I'd like more to show for all my efforts. Is the water-based just that poor? I can't believe I got three+ coats on 200sq ft patio, using only 1 gallon! Should Can you recommend a quality product to cover the area now? I have seen many articles about water-baesd over oil-based, but what about the reverse.
Thanks for all your help.

It is hard to say if using the solvent based sealer over the water based will work properly. It may but there is no guarantee. Best bet is to test a small area or strip off the Jasco.
