Seal Cultured Stone Walls 2 Years ago Karma: 11
You are now in a live chat session with suzy...

The Sealer Store (11:27:00): Hello How May I Help You?
suzy (11:27:28): i was wondering if there is a product to seal some walls that are made of "cultured" stone...
The Sealer Store (11:28:15): Yes but not the same as the SuperSeal-A. For this you do not want to add a shine.
The Sealer Store (11:28:51): SuperSeal-M would be the best bet
The Sealer Store (11:29:12): www.opwdecks.com/superseal-m-1-gallon.htm
suzy (11:30:00): the walls (and they are giant and lots of them) have lost their color, they are now grey and they were cooler colors...I don't know if I was suppose to be sealing them or not....but some green moss is setting in and the mortor is falling out...so I would have to power was them first....I guess....so my question is, would it restore and of the color?
The Sealer Store (11:31:22): To "enhance" or restore the color you would need a sealer that contains acrylic. The SuperSeal-M will not do this.
The Sealer Store (11:32:03): The A would but it is hard to get an even appearance on stone. That is why it is not suggested.
The Sealer Store (11:32:27): You might want to test spot an area.
The Sealer Store (11:33:04): Thanks for the order BTW. It will ship today.
suzy (11:34:10): sure....while I'm at it...sorry, but there is a LOT of stone around this place....would you know what to do with limestone edges on planters that turn green because of shade/moss....is there a sealer for this too?
The Sealer Store (11:35:35): Not all sealers will work on Limestone. This one should:
The Sealer Store (11:35:59): www.opwdecks.com/defy-heavy-duty-water-repellent-1-gallon.htm
The Sealer Store (11:36:37): Product Data Sheet: www.opwdecks.com/pdf/allpurpose.pdf
suzy (11:37:05): cool thanks....what would the acryllic one for the "cultured stone" walls?....
The Sealer Store (11:38:06): Try a test spot with the SuperSeal-A to see how that works. If it enhances evenly then I would use that.
suzy (11:38:51): good idea......i'll have to wait for the Spring to do that.
The Sealer Store (11:39:30): Yes that would be better. At least 40+ degrees
suzy (11:39:47): It's going to be a long while.....
suzy (11:39:51): Thanks for the help.
The Sealer Store (11:40:23): Michigan will warm up by April Hopefully!
The Sealer Store (11:40:35): You are welcome!
suzy (11:40:54): May.
suzy (11:41:00): I"m a gardener.
suzy (11:50:58): do you know how to get green mold off of limestone....power wash it but the green just gets lighter and brighter and then i even tried vinegar and muratic acid...
The Sealer Store (11:53:02): Try this: www.opwdecks.com/defy-safer-cleaner.htm
suzy (11:54:48): except for this part:
suzy (11:54:51): *Note: Do not use on limestone! DEFY Safer Brick & Masonry Cleaner will dissolve limestone.
The Sealer Store (11:55:13): oops. so will muriatic
suzy (11:55:14): guess i wouldn't have an algae problem then
suzy (11:55:21): yeah i know.
suzy (11:55:39): i even tried bleach
The Sealer Store (11:55:48): hold on one second
suzy (11:55:49): then all that junk goes into the planters.
suzy (11:56:28): I have plenty of other stuff i can use it on if it doesn't work. i'll get some of it
The Sealer Store (11:56:30): This should be ok: www.opwdecks.com/saferestore.htm
suzy (11:58:57): Oh yeah, that looks good.
The Sealer Store (11:59:26): I have used it before with great results.
suzy (12:00:38): great...I'll try it...things are getting moldy around here, the pavers are BAD news under the Wisteria...actually slippery, i'll try this on that too.
The Sealer Store (12:04:11): It should work on everything.
suzy (12:04:14): so i've got super seal M for the fake walls, saferestore for limestone cleaner, and defy for sealing limestone...
The Sealer Store (12:05:13): Maybe the SuperSeal-A to enhance the walls.
suzy (12:05:24): that is the acrylic
The Sealer Store (12:05:35): Yes
suzy (12:07:22): okay i'll send an order in since i can't do anything outside right now, i can at least spend his money
The Sealer Store (12:08:50): Yes it is better to spend now then later
suzy (12:09:44): that way i'm at least getting ready for the spring mad rush around here.
suzy (12:09:51): 'll just keep the stuff in my office.
The Sealer Store (12:10:03): Make sure to rinse the sprayer when done. You can use it for all.
suzy (12:11:13): i was going to ask that next.....thanks.
The Sealer Store (12:11:37): No problem.
suzy (12:15:29): sent in another order....probably talk to you later about staining my house and deck...cedar sided....don't want to think about that now.
The Sealer Store (12:16:39): Thanks for the order(s). Let me know if we can help anymore!
suzy (12:18:33): ok, thanks again
