I have a new plain (not stained, dyed, stampted etc.) concrete patio completed about 3 weeks ago. Droppings from the trees have left numerous stains. I want to apply a sealer and think a stain might be good since the concrete is very light in color and is in a wooded area which will continue to drop leaves, berries,blossoms etc. which will stain.
My questions are:
When should I apply the sealer?
How should I clean the existing stains?
Can I use a tinted sealer so the concrete doesn't show as much variation from dirt etc?
What would you suggest?
This is a very attractive patio with pergola, some flagstone in one section, a walled area in another - I went for vertical design and tried to save money by just using plain concrete for the floor in two of the three sections-didn't realize that it would look this dirty...
Your advice will be much appreciated.
