Brick Fireplace 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I have a unfinished brick fireplace that I am converting to gas. I am not happy with the used brick and the inconsisten coloring. Can I use Color-Crete to stain the bricks and then a sealant to give them a gloss ?

Color Crete is a transparent stain that will not give a consistent color. It would definitely change the color but it would be hard to say what the final color would be.

The gloss sealers we sell would not be designed for high or extreme heat.

Is there a product that I can use to redo the inside of my fireplace. It is an older red brick type, the brick is discolored but in good condition. I have regular cleaning done because I use it alot so I do not feel like the color is an issue, I have noticed some of the mortar needs some, is this a DIY or do I need a professional? if it is DIY where do I find this type of product?
