Apply a coat to Defy Uv Clear epoxy 2 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I used Defy epoxy fortified clear wood finish last year to stain my deck. When I clean and prepare to re-stain the deck, do I have to strip the deck of the original stain or can I use an exterior oxygen wood brightner such as Wolman's Deck Brite, which I used on the bare, new wood, to clean it?

I want to use an oxygen bleach cleaner. Is there really any difference between Defy Exterior Wood Brightener and Wolman's Deck Brite?

Thanks

If you are planning on using the Defy Epoxy again, then all you need to do is clean the wood with a oxygen cleaner. I am not sure how effective the Wolman product is. Defy recommends that you use their products for optimal results. They both contain the same active ingredient: sodium percarbonate.
