Does your stains work on pine decks? I like the extreme wood stain i have read about, but it does not mention if it can be used on pine.

I would like to buy your product to seal a new deck. I am confused as to which product is the best. I would like to remain close to the original color but do not mind getting the natural pine stain if a "stain" lasts longer. I was told an epoxy is best. What is the difference between the "extreme" vs. UV and epoxy stains? Don't know which to purchase? The Defy Extreme is the Defy Epoxy but with the additional nano-sized particles of zinc oxide. This aids with the UV protection, prolonging the graying. A tinted stain will last longer then a clear. So best to choose the Defy Extreme Stain in a color/tint. The Natural Pine would be the lightest color.

will mold grow on this product? I had a lot of mold growing on the stuff I had on the deck before Thompsons water seal, my wife hated the color as well. It was on pressure treated wood deck. finally got it all off and ready to apply a better product without color. we also want to apply to the ajacent western cedar hot tub cabanna, we aree going to use the wagner paint crew sprayer. Is this the stuff I want? will it do the job? what is the delivery time, where do you ship from? i am in Texas. Thanks - ED

Mold can grow on any surface. The Defy Extreme contains zinc oxide which helps prevent this.

The Extreme is an excellent product for your scenario.

We are in Michigan and it takes 3-4 business days to ship to TX.

Can be applied with a Wagner but you may need to back brush to ensure an even application.

Thanks

I'm confused.. is this clear or semi-transparent? The name says clear but in the product hi-lites it states "semi-transparent". Are both available? Is this product appropriate for cedar? Thanks, again.

The Defy Extreme comes in both a clear and semi-transparent colors. The semi-transparent colors will outperform the clear 2-4 times. It can be used on cedar wood.

We built a cedar deck this spring and treated with Defy Extreme Clear. Ended up over buying and have a few gallons left over. We aren't really thrilled with the look of the clear and want to add some color next year, or whenever the clear stuff wears off. My question is, can we mix a few gallons of semi transparent defy extreme with our left over clear stain or are the two incompatible?
