Help with cleaning wood deck 2 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
I am interested in EFC-38 and Citralic. I have what remains (not much) of Flood CWF-UV5 semi-transparent on my deck. The railings are in good shape, so I planned on using this product combo to remove the old stain and brighten the deck. Previously we used the Flood and it only lasted 2 years. I planned on using the same stain again, as I figured I wanted the same "cedar" stain color as we had before. Is there another product I should consider?

Also, I plan on refinishing a patio table and chair combo made of eucalyptus. I want any easy job and planned on simply sanding the table and then applying a teak oil. Is there something else I should consider? Would these cleaning products help remove the stain from eucalyptus?

The EFC-38 is more of a cleaner then a wood stain stripper. It most likely will not remove the CWF as this particular stain is very difficult to remove. you might want to look at the HD80 instead. It is a heavy duty stripper. Both the EFC-38 and the HD80 should be brightened with the Citralic.

I am not a fan of the CWF Flood stain. It is a difficult stain to work with when it is time to redo. Best to choose a stain that is easily removable or recoatable when needed.

The cleaners/stripper will help prep the furniture as well
