Remove Behr stain 2 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Our deck has Behr solid stain on it and is peeling badly. I want to remove the stain. It looks like HD-80 might be kind of scary to use because it is so strong. What about Defy? When we do this, I want it to work. Which product would you recommend that will really work? Also, after we use the stripper, we want to put a transparent stain on the wood. Is there something we need to apply between stripping and staining? Thank you

Behr is one of the most difficult products to remove. The Defy Stripper will work but it is hard to say how many times you will need to strip. HD80 is more powerful though.

It is very important to use a wood brightener after the stripping is done. It will neutralize the stripper and lighten the wood.
