Remove Paint from Wooden Deck 2 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I have a wooden deck that was originally stained but then painted. I would like to strip it and then restain. Can you tell me what is the best way to do this? What products to use, and what is the best procedure. Can you recommend qualified professionals that do this?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide

Removing paint completely from a deck is extremely difficult if not impossible. There is not a solution of stripper out there that will make this process easy. Your best bet is to use a wood stripper to remove as much as possible, followed by sanding off the rest.

A lot of contractors will not attempt this since in many cases it is a waste of time. Where are you located? I can try and see if someone is willing to look at this.
