Cedar Deck in Washington 2 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Live in western Washington, so long wet season, little snow and a hot sun for 3-4 months as well. Deck surface is cedar, some Western and some Alaskan for replaced boards. Deck is 8' off of ground. Deck is 10 years old and has had a fair job of maintenance. It will be cleaned with good cleaner and pressure washing. I do not want to use a complete solid as I do not want a "painted look". I am not concerned with price. What is the highest quality product you would recommend. thanks for advice LArry

I would suggest a stain that controls mildew for the rain and also is loaded with a good amount of pigment to help with UV protection.

Here is a few suggestions:
Armstrong Clark Wood Deck Stain
TWP 500 Series Wood Deck Stain
DEFY Stain for Cedar

and more deck stains

These are all transparent but tinted stains. Make sure that your previous coating(s) are removed.
