Sealing Stamped Concrete Driveway 2 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Four (4) years ago, we had our entire driveway and Patio (2,500 sq. feet) replaced with stamped colored concrete. Within two (2) months, a "Jasco matte sealer" was applied which looked great for 3 or so years. Now, much of the beige color looks "Washed out" and very irregular in color. Some portions of the driveway are so washed out that they almost look white. I tried using some Behr sealer as a test but as soon as it dried, it lookes the same washed out color as before.

Ironically, if I hose down the driveway it looks Great temporally, but as soon as it dries it goes back to it's awful irregular color.

I really NEED to get resolved ASAP. Your recommendations please!

P.S.

I will be happy to take some digital photos and email them to you for a more detailed understanding of how it looks.

Thank You!

The Behr sealer is a waste of time and can also cause an issue when applying a future coating. Did you apply this to all of the area? if so you may need to strip off the coating(s).

You may want to test a gallon of:
Brick Paver Sealer & Decorative Concrete Sealer

This should revive the color and shine. There may be a problem though with the Behr sealer causing it to turn "white" in a few years. Our sealer will not do this but a cheap sealer "underneath" could do this.

How would you strip off the Behr sealer? Why does Home Depot make such a worthless product?

You could use this to strip off the Paver Sealer
Brick Paver Sealer Stripper

I do not know how to answer the second question.
