Add stain to stamped concrete 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Is it possible to use ColorCrete over existing stamped concrete with sealer on it already? My stamped patio and sidewalk are showing the worse for wear. The contractor used the wrong base color(slate) and the release is earth brown. Some of the release is chipping off in areas and the slate color is showing thru. Can I touch up with ColorCrete(Earth) and then seal with SuperSeal? Also can ColorCrete be used over the whole sidewalk and patio to gain some color back?

For ColorCrete to work properly the concrete needs to be porous. If you have a sealer on then it cannot penetrate and adhere properly. You would need to strip off the sealer first.

I have a stamped concrete patio about 6 years old. The color has faded badly so I power washed it and basically took off most of the color. I kind of like the off white look of it. Anyway, I need to seal the patio and read about tinted or colored sealers. I have approx 40o sf. what do you recommend? I need to get this done ASAP

We do not have any tinted sealers. Just sealers that will enhance the natural color similar to a wet look. I would suggest the SuperSeal25 or the SuperSeal30.
