Stamped concrete is a horizontal surface such as driveways, patios, walkways, etc. Essentially you take colored cement and while still wet you would apply a large rubber stamp to create a pattern. This is repeated over and over again to create a texture to the cement. you can also add various colors called releases to make the cement look marbled. When done it needs to be sealed with a sealer that leaves a shine and enhances the color. These stamped concrete sealers need to re-applied every 2 years or so.

Is there a difference between a paver sealer and a stamped concrete sealer? What would I use if the customer didn't want to add a gloss?

I use the same sealer for both pavers and stamped concrete, it is a styrene acrylic with uv inhibitors and works well for both, allthough there may be other types of sealers on the market, they work great for us. As for a low gloss, I have had good results with the super seal matte.

Will the matte sealer still give a wet look or do you need a shiny sealer for that? Can you put these sealers on flagstone or any natural stone surface?

SuperSeal Matte concrete sealer does enhance the colors similar to as if it were wet with water. It contains 25% acylic but has an additive that removes the shine. This product is very good for commerical pool areas, tumbled pavers, flagstone, etc.

When using on any natural stone products we would strongly suggest that you test first for porosity. This is a fairly thick product and a non-porous substrate such as smooth stone could cause issues with absorption and final appearance.

What would you suggest I use if this does not work on natural stone? Am i better with a water repellent sealer?

Can this be applied to brick on houses that have dulled in appearance. I would assume the matte would revive the color without adding the shine. I really think this could be a strong selling point for the older style "brownstones" that we have in our area.

If your concerned with the non pourus surfaces, the SUPERSEAL-M is good, i've used it before on a ceramic tile patio with no problems, spread it thick, then feather it thin with a roller.
