We finished the cleaning on Sunday. The deck stripper worked very well at removing the Wood Guard stain. Everything took about 10 hours to clean the Log Cabin and garage. The only issues I had were my own fault. One was not rinsing the dirt off the wood when I was done using the stripper. The other was a got a little to close to the wood in a few areas with the pressure washer. Luckily it was very minor and can be easily sanded. On a side note: the brightener did wonders to restore the wood color. It was so easy and you could see the results in about 5 minutes. Looking forward to recieving the Defy stain!

Something that I've seen done just before staining is to apply dawn dish
soap to all the windows with a dry sponge. After the stain is dry just simply
rinse the windows. The dawn keeps the stain off the glass. Just an idea
for the future.

A rag with mineral spirits when finished works great too.
