TWP 100 or 500 series 3 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
WE are interested in staining our new log cabin with Gemini products. We are looking at either TWP honeytone or TWP light cedar . They are from 2 different product lines so I had a couple of questions. First of all, your site says you cannot sell series 100 to Vermont locations but when I spoke with Brent at the GEMINI plant in OKlahoma he said Vermont was fine . Please confirm either way so we know what our options are.

I also need your recommendation as to which product would be best under the following conditions:
This is new construction - large pine logs. The logs were cut about 1 year ago. Moisture content is 12-14 % last we checked. Brent said we could probably use either series but I just wanted your opinion on what you feel would be the very best? Along that same line , is it possible to switch to the opposite series the next coating in a couple of years are is it best to stay with same series and same color?

I think you website noted that it is best to apply 2 coats wet on wet. Does that hold true for both series 100 and 500?

You note free ground shipping: The location would be Vermont. How long would you anticipate shipping time to be via ground? How do you ship?

So many questions: What is the ideal temperature outdoors to apply this stain? How long between rains and how long should it be on before the next rainstorm, ideally.

First off TWP 100 series cannot be shipped to Vermont. Vermont has a 250 VOC regulation and the 100 Series id 550.

Ideal temperature is 50-85 degrees.

TWP Deck Stains are suggested to be applied wet on wet if needed. Make sure to not over apply as too much stain will not absorb resulting in premature failure.

Moisture content of 12-14% is perfectly okay.

Free shipping on all 5 gallon pails. Shipping to Vermont will take 2-3 days.
