Wolman Wood and Deck Stains 2 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 10
Wolman Durastain was rated #1 by an independent magazine. All of the Wolman Deck Stains include a mildewcide and a powerful water repellent. Wolman stains will help you protect your horizontal and vertical wood surfaces from UV degradation, water damage and unsightly mildew stains.

Is Wolman deck products the primary choice for the America's wood care contractors? What are the advantages of a good Wolman wood investment? Do they treat with fences too?

Wolman is a very popular product with consumers and has a decent following with contractors. It's advantages is that Wolman is one of the oldest manufacturers out there. They have a long history with using higher end materials in the manufacturing if their stains.

Absolutely can Wolman be applied to a fence. In fact pretty much all exterior wood stains can be applied to fences.

Durastain may be too expensive for a fence. However, I can tell you all of the vertical surfaces on the deck (it has 3 levels) have held up perfectly and weathered very little for 6 years with Durastain Transparent on Western Red Cedar. My challenge was with the horizontal surfaces that have Port Orford cedar. (see Durastain peeling on this forumn)
