The Sealer Store (10:30:43):

Hello, How may I help you?

Deb (10:30:49): Good morning.
The Sealer Store (10:31:07): Morning
Deb (10:31:12): I need to "clean" my grayed cedar fence before applying TWP stain. What is the best way?
The Sealer Store (10:31:48): A Wood Cleaner first, followed by a Wood Brightener.
The Sealer Store (10:32:05): Use of a pressure washer will speed up the process
Deb (10:32:11): What is the easiest and will not kill grass?
The Sealer Store (10:32:32): None of them will kill grass.
Deb (10:32:41): That's good.
The Sealer Store (10:32:47): The Hose-Connects are the easiest
The Sealer Store (10:33:04): Hose-Connect Deck Cleaner
The Sealer Store (10:33:21): Otherwise they are all about the same.
Deb (10:33:41): OK. I wrote that down.
Deb (10:34:02): Now, is spray on or brush on TWP better?
The Sealer Store (10:34:41): Do you have a pump up sprayer? It would be easiest to spray then back wipe.
The Sealer Store (10:35:05): Need to tarp grass as the TWP will kill grass
Deb (10:35:11): No, I don't have one. What is the least expensive effective way to spray?
Deb (10:35:19): Thanks for tarp grass info.
The Sealer Store (10:35:52): A Deck Sprayer
Deb (10:36:20): Got it.
Deb (10:36:21): Got it.
Deb (10:36:37): do you recommend the TWP 100 for fence?
Deb (10:36:53): 1 coat or 2?
The Sealer Store (10:37:28): Two Coats wet on wet. TWP 100 Series is a great stain
Deb (10:37:55): If I still have gray on the fence, but it is "clean", will the gray show thru the 100?
The Sealer Store (10:38:50): You need a tint in the 100 series. The clear will still look gray
Deb (10:39:17): Will the tint (thinking cedar color) hide the gray?
Deb (10:39:34): Do people prefer a certain cedar color?
The Sealer Store (10:40:05): It should hide it fairly well. Cedartone is always the most popular color.
Deb (10:40:33): Will I need a certain type brush to apply this?
The Sealer Store (10:40:59): Is it rough wood or smooth?
Deb (10:41:20): I'm guessing rough. It's raining, so I can't go look,ha.
The Sealer Store (10:41:51): Probably a wood 6" brush would be best.
Deb (10:42:08): Anything else important I've not asked?
Deb (10:42:24): obviously a first time fence stainer...
The Sealer Store (10:42:34): Wooster Brush
The Sealer Store (10:42:50): That is the brush. Works well on rough wood.
The Sealer Store (10:43:11): Did you read some of the articles on the site?
Deb (10:43:16): Is it easier to discard the brush after than try to clean it?
The Sealer Store (10:43:57): Yes. But it is a very nice brush
The Sealer Store (10:44:15): Here is an article that is helpful. 101 Deck Tips
Deb (10:44:28): Thanks for the helpful info. Have a nice day!
The Sealer Store (10:44:59): Your are welcome. Have a nice day as well
