Wood Tux is an oil based exterior wood and deck stain that can be applied to wet wood. It cannot be applied to wood that has sitting puddles of water but you can apply to damp wood.

what is the advantage to applying to wet wood? wouldnt that hinder the bond?

Yes you could sweep off the excess water. You just cannot apply to sitting water. Visibly damp is more then okay,
