redwood playst 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have a 3 yr old redwood playset with Superdeck stain that needs to be sripped and sealed. I live in Ohio. What would be the best choice for a stain, stripper, and brightener? I'm leaning towareds TWP or Defy. Also, since it is redwood, would I need the Hardwood version of either TWP or Defy?

The one positive about Superdeck is that is is easily strippable. I would choose the Hose-Connect Products for Stripping and Brightening.

PowerSolve Hose-Connects

Both Defy and TWP are great stains. For Defy I would choose the Hardwood version but it does not matter with the TWP.

Did you decide on a brand yet? Let me know if you have more questions.

I haven't yet. I wanted to go with the Defy product, but after looking at the colors for the Hardwood stain, I wasn't crazy about the cedar color. Will TWP hold up as well as Defy, or is there another stain that would work better?

Both the TWP and the Defy will last about the same. For the TWP I would choose the Rustic or Redwood colors. That is what the majority of homeowners use on their Rainbow playsets when choosing TWP.
